    Grow It!
Skills & Resources for Women Entrepreneurs

Join WESO for a day of inspiring and practical presentations, developmental workshops, and guided networking activities. You'll leave with the knowledge and tools you need to help your business grow and thrive.

    Speakers & Workshops:

    1. Shayna Christensen (Blueberry June) & Becky Esquibel (Experience Joy Travel Company): A session on the art of requesting, giving, and receiving reviews and feedback.
    2. Group Workshop: Immediately following the presentation, we’ll practice confidently navigating feedback and review scenarios.
    3. Kelly Ericksen (Farmer's Insurance):  "Risky Business: Planning for the 'What if'" — Thinking ahead helps us stay in control when the unexpected shows up, so one unfortunate event doesn’t undo years of hard work. Asking ‘what if’ is an act of leadership, resilience and smart business sense.
    4. Group Workshop: "Unforgettable in 30 Seconds" — Practice the art of the "hook" to ensure your 30 seconds of fame leaves every listener wanting to hear more.

    What else to expect:

    • Actionable Takeaways: You’ll leave the event with a sense of inspired clarity, and a notebook filled with valuable resources, connections, and your custom list of next steps.
    • Networking Opportunities: Through guided and free networking, there will be ample time to build connections and meaningful relationships with other entrepreneurs.
    • Business Resources: Meet and learn about local business support organizations. They will include SCORE, Jackson County Library Business Resources, Jackson County / SOU PIER Project, and Phoenix Chamber of Commerce.
    • Community-Donated Raffle Prizes. You may purchase tickets in advance online, during the event, and during registration. 100% of ticket sales benefit the Community Works Dunn House Shelter. Attendance is not required to win.
